Dr. Shubham Subrot Panigrahi is a Research Associate at Lethbridge College with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry and academic institutions. He is currently working on projects engaged in applied stored grain research to automate the management process for farmers’ user-friendliness and provide energy-efficient protocols. He received his doctorate degree from University of South Australia with a primary focus on improvising on-farm stored grain facilities using modeling strategies and received the 3MT People’s Choice award for his thesis. Prior to the current position, he was a Manufacturing Engineer at Brightlight Agribusiness, Australia focusing on the management of stored almonds and processing on-farm. Shubham has expertise in mathematical modeling of stored grain ecosystems to provide new knowledge on biotic and abiotic interactions and is skilled in developing codes circulating biological products.
Shubham has completed his bachelor’s degree from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela with a major in food process engineering. During his 4-year tenure, he has worked in a Department of Science and Technology funded project to develop processing equipment for forest produce. He also has demonstrated research experience in nanotechnology and its implications in food beverages. Besides, he has received scholarships from the Commonwealth of Australia for his Ph.D. and Prime Minister Scholarship during his 4-year bachelor’s degree.
